Overview
Fast PDF Word is a document conversion app. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app, request support, or make a purchase.
Files you choose to convert
You choose which documents to convert. This can include PDFs from Files, document images from Files or Photos, and document scans captured with the camera. Some text recognition and simple conversions may happen on your device. When a document needs formatted Word conversion, the selected file may be uploaded to our cloud conversion flow so a Word file can be created and returned to you.
We do not use your documents, scans, or photos for advertising, profiling, or training AI models. We do not sell your documents.
Camera and photo library access
Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a document inside the app. Photo import uses Apple's system photo picker when you choose Photos as an import source and select a document image to convert.
On supported iOS versions, Apple's system photo picker lets you choose an image without granting Fast PDF Word full photo library access or showing a broad Photos permission prompt. Fast PDF Word receives only the image you select. We do not scan your photo library in the background, import photos you did not choose, or upload your photo library.
Information we process
- Anonymous app identifier used to connect usage, conversion reservations, and purchase status.
- Basic conversion information, such as file name, page count, conversion status, and usage balance.
- Purchase and subscription information provided by Apple, such as transaction identifiers and entitlement status.
- Support messages you send to us, including your email address and the contents of your message.
Third-party services
Fast PDF Word uses service providers to operate the app. Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. Firebase helps run authentication, usage tracking, and server functions. A document conversion provider may process selected documents when cloud conversion is needed.
Payments
Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. Fast PDF Word does not collect or store your payment card details.
Retention
We keep app usage and purchase records for as long as needed to provide subscriptions, prevent abuse, resolve support requests, and maintain accurate records. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to you and improve support. Documents submitted for cloud conversion are intended to be processed temporarily for the conversion request.
The app's History is intended to keep converted Word files on your device for your convenience. Original PDFs, scans, and imported photos are not saved to History by default.
Your choices
You can stop using the app at any time. You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID settings. You can contact us to request help with privacy questions or account-related data deletion.
You can control camera and photo library permissions in iOS Settings. If you do not want to grant Photos access, you can still import supported files from Files or scan a document with the camera.
Children
Fast PDF Word is not directed to children under 13.
